Demo Void
While Portal RTX is hosting int_menu, recording a demo in a normal map and playing it back shows the demo played back in a featureless brushwork version of the map
An untextured kind of void. Lighting data is captured separately with VRAD, and lighting reveals moving entities.
23:45 : Cheats and console commands do not work. Inputs are mirrored but not server variables and environment state.
24:24 : Noclipping works when recording a demo in spectator mode
Noclipping works in gmod because it doesn't require cheats
Spectator demos can have multiple effects
- No findings
- Game crash
- Geometry collision (if falling)
- Geometry sighting (if spectating)
Contains VRAD-ORs
#theory VRAD-OR behavior is also present in the Source Void in SKYCRASH, so I think the demo void is a very limited view into the source void
