int_menu
After IL4 rendered a graphic to the Red Room window, Portal RTX stops hosting a semi-connected demo server and starts hosting a real map server that hosts int_menu
"int_menu" refers to both the map itself and the Portal RTX white-screen state involved in hosting it.
- Activation
- IL5: Portal RTX hosts this after the wrong_turn Doorway render
- Appearance
- Portal RTX is a white screen in this state.
- Large checkerboard square with dense fog
- Floor texture is the same as subroutine_hello
- Does not have a doorway, and so is not subroutine_hello.
- Uncategorized Patterns/Leaky Map
- Behavior
- Contains the HL2 playermodel that corresponds to the portal RTX player's controls.
- Crashes the game if you fall off the map
- #theory: If this is the same map as the Red Room, falling off the edge in the Source Void may have led to subroutine_hello in wrong_turn
- Portal RTX control moves the portal pawn, although PRTX can't see POV.
- Portal RTX pawn can change models by right-clicking, which Anomi connects to the Crasher in It's Inside my Computer here's proof 2014.11.22
- Passive effect
- IL5: Recording demos on int_menu fails to save them locally, like demos recorded via the Red Room semi-connection
- IL5: Recording a demo on another map and playing it mirrors the demo to Portal RTX (without materials). Just inputs and initial map state, no cheats or server variables
